Set up and plug in a new phone / replacement phone?
The following steps may be used to setup and plug in a Virtual Office VoIP phone:
- Attach the handset cable to the handset. Attach the other end of the handset cable to the "Handset" port on the back of the phone.
- Attach the stand to the back of the phone.
- Plug a local network connection into the "LAN" port on the back of the phone. This will be an ethernet cable that is connected to your local network (LAN).
- (Optional) Plug your computer into the "PC" port on the back of the phone. If you have a separate network connection for your computer you may skip this step.
- Plug the power adapter into the back of the phone. Position the phone where you wish to use it. Then plug the power adapter into an available power outlet.
The phone should begin booting up after the power supply is plugged in, and should be fully booted and available for use after a couple of minutes. Once you see the idle screen for the phone (fully booted) you may wish to place a test call in and out of the phone to verify everything is working correctly.
