The following is an example of a typical DNS record for a Metro Provider customer. Please note that this a typical example and that other more involved domains can have records that have a lot more entries.

- Anything that has a semi colon (;) in front of it is effectively commented out of the record. What this means is that it is there for explanatory purposes only and is not required.
- The at sign (@) simply means that the value from the previous line is used in that line also. Basically a ditto for DNS records.
