BETA TESTERS NEEDED
USFamily.Net needs your help in launching our latest service, In Touch Internet Call
Manager. This service will allow dial-up customers to be online and never miss
important phone calls.
Stay In Touch online and control all incoming calls right from your PC.
When a call comes in, a call alert window appears on your computer screen. You decide how
to handle the call!
- See who's calling instantly with online caller ID.
- Answer calls, transfer calls, ignore calls, play a greeting or take a message.
- Listen to voice messages from your computer with online voicemail.
USFamily.Net is looking for current dial-up customers to sign up to Beta Test our In
Touch Call Manager. To qualify, beta testers will be required to do the following:
- Have Busy/Call Forward on their current telephone service, or be willing to order
Busy/Call Forward for their current telephone service and incur the monthly charges and
installation fees for this service (The average fee is $1-$2 per month. Some companies may
also charge a small set-up fee. You should consult with your telephone company before
signing up for the beta test).
- Use USFamily.Net In Touch Call Manager for 30 days.
- Reply to USFamily.Net with reaction and response to your use of the service, so that we
may understand what needs to be tweaked before launching this new service.
- Preferably be a typical or heavy dial-up Internet user.
- Preferably be comfortable and have previous experience testing software or computers.

TECH TEAM UPDATE - THANK YOU
Everyone at USFamily.Net would like to thank the dozens of USFamily.Net
customers who emailed a message to our tech support team member, Pat C., who is currently
serving our country and will be deployed to Iraq in the next 6 months.
Pat was dearly touched and wanted us to pass along his gratitude to all of
those who emailed him.
Pat recently found out that he has been selected for a
special security group that will be leaving for Iraq within the next month. This is
an additional 6 month month assignment that he will be serving in addition to the
regular tour with his unit later this year.
We look forward to hearing from Pat whenever he
has the opportunity to write. Please keep him in your thoughts & prayers.

TECH TIP - E-MAILING
If you are having trouble sending email, one thing you can do to troubleshoot the problem
is to make sure that authentication is enabled on the outgoing mail server within Outlook
Express.
1. When you have Outlook Express open, click Tools, then click Accounts.
2. In the Internet Accounts window, click the Mail tab at the top, then highlight your
account and click Properties on the right hand side.
3. In the Properties window, click the Servers tab at the top, then make sure that there
is a check in the box at the bottom that reads "My server requires
authentication".
4. If the check was not in the box, click the box to place the check mark there, then
click Apply and then OK at the bottom of the window.
